A BLACKBURN schoolboy has become the newest member of Mensa after discovering he has an IQ of 154.
Hamid Buttar, 13, whose favourite subject at Beardwood High School is science, said the Mensa test wasn’t hard at all, but he rushed it because he was nervous.
Hamid, who loves astronomy and believes there are extra-terrestrials somewhere in the universe, said: “I could have done better, I think, because I had a headache and I rushed part of it because I was quite nervous.
"I wasn’t expecting to do as well as I did, so I’m really pleased.”
The results of the test, which was done at school before the holidays, were revealed in a letter which arrived at Hamid’s Billinge Street home, in Blackburn, on Saturday.
