High winds have caused a tree to fall down in Leyland and police are diverting traffic away from the area.
The tree toppled from Worden Park this afternoon, sometime between 4pm and 5.30pm, and is currently lying across Worden Lane, near the main car park entrance.
It has crashed through a small brick wall surrounding the park and is now blocking both sides of Worden Lane, near Vicarsfields Road.
Police are on the scene and diverting traffic down Vicarsfields Road and Langdale Road, on the Worden Park estate.
It is not known if anyone has been injured during the tree fall or if any vehicles parked nearby have been damaged.
The tree came down from an area where caravans, owned by Billy Smart's Circus crew, who are peforming on the park this weekend, are parked.
It is not known if these vehicles or any circus equipment has been affected.
An eye witness said: "The tree seems to be lying across both carriageways of Worden Lane and police are there and stopping traffic going up."
