A mountain biker was airlifted to hospital following a fall at a popular cycling trail.
The incident happened on Sunday morning at the Gisburn Forest ‘Leap of Faith’ trail.
The Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue Team (BPMRT) said the biker suffered a leg injury.
A spokesperson said: “Working with North West Air Ambulance Charity, we treated the gentleman and carried him to the awaiting helicopter for transport to hospital.
“We wish the gentleman a speedy recovery and hope he's back on his bike soon."
The Leap of Faith is described as an ‘advanced, adrenaline-pumping jump featuring a steep drop and gap’.
It is designed for expert riders and is popular with mountain biking enthusiasts from across the region.
