Police accused a large group of young people for a number of anti-social behaviour (ASB) incidents in Accrington centre.
Officers from the Hyndburn neighbourhood policing team also asked parents to keep an eye on their own child.
A police spokesperson said: “Over the last couple of weeks large groups of youths have been congregating within the town centre.
“This group is being extremely problematic for the police, and they have been responsible for numerous ASB incidents, damage and assault offences.
“Officers are now having to take positive action, and offences committed will be dealt robustly by the police.”
It comes as officers in Burnley increased patrols over the weekend in the Coal Clough Lane and Hargher Park areas.
Police in Burnley said: “Whilst we appreciate that it is difficult to know where your child is at all times, we urge parents to take responsibility and speak to their children about being considerate of others and acceptable behaviour.
“ASB can have a detrimental affect on individuals and communities, if you are victim or witnesses to this behaviour please report to us so we can target our resources accordingly.”
