A Blackburn primary school has announced partnerships with seven local businesses aimed at broadening its pupils’ horizons about future careers.
St Francis CE School has partnered with Pendle Doors, Fruity Llama, Forbes Solicitors, Eric Wright, Boohoo, Nybble, and Land Rover Jaguar.
All the companies have committed to working closely with the school and its pupils to provide insight into their industries and to nurture ambition among them.
The collaboration is part of a wider initiative to give children hands-on experience and guidance from professionals, helping them to understand the wealth of opportunities available in the working world.
Representatives from each company will engage with the students through talks and interactive activities tailored to inspire and educate.
James Kewley, headteacher at St Francis, said: “We are incredibly excited to work with such a diverse group of fantastic businesses.
"This partnership will offer our pupils invaluable experiences that will spark their imaginations and open their eyes to their future’s endless possibilities.
“At St Francis, we aim to empower our children to dream big, and this initiative perfectly aligns with our mission.”
Nicola Duffy, the school’s chair of governors, added: “This is an exceptional opportunity for our children to learn directly from experts in fields as varied as law, construction, technology, and fashion.
“We are immensely grateful to these businesses for their commitment to the future of our pupils and to Blackburn as a whole.
“These connections will leave a lasting impact on the lives of our young people and the community.”
