Lancashire's Police and Crime Commissioner has pledged to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour.
Today, Lancashire Day, Clive Grunshaw announced his commitment to reducing criminal activities and rebuilding public trust in policing.
Mr Grunshaw has already redirected £215,000 back into the county from criminals through the PCC Community Fund.
This fund supports projects aimed at crime prevention and the protection of vulnerable young people.
Since the introduction of Operation Vulture earlier this year, more than 2,100 'positive outcomes' for shoplifting offences have been recorded, including arrests and charges.
Operation Centurion, a county-wide initiative to combat anti-social behaviour, has also benefited every borough with increased policing.
There has also been a 'significant improvement' in response times for calls to Lancashire Police, and the abandonment rate for calls is now at 0.2 per cent, the lowest in three years.
Mr Grunshaw is set to launch his Police and Crime Plan for the county next month.
This will focus on tackling 'anti-social behaviour, building neighbourhood policing, targeting serious and organised crime, and ensuring an efficient policing service.'
Mr Grunshaw said: "Lancashire Day is a time to reflect on the strength of our communities and for partners across the county to come together and reaffirm a collective commitment to preventing and tackling crime and keeping people safe.
"As a Lancashire resident born and bred, representing the people of our great county and having them put their trust in me is an honour, and I am working to deliver the best possible policing service for everyone, acting as the public's voice regionally and in Westminster."
