A major Blackburn car and van dealership has opened at its new site in Darwen.
Enzo Cars and Vans was based in Mayfield Street, Blackburn, but has now moved into a two-acre site in Chanters Way, Darwen, formerly used by Tuffnells Parcels Express.
The larger location will offer a range of cars and vans and be staffed by 25 employees.
A grand opening on Sunday, November 24, was attended by more than 200 family members, friends and invited guests.
Bash Enzo, from the company, said: “It is wonderful to be finally moving into our new premises.
“We have been working really hard over the past few months as we wanted to relocate and be fully functioning ahead of Christmas.
“Thank you to all the staff for their efforts in helping us make this huge move.
“As anyone knows it is not easy relocating but we have a great team.
“This site has a great history and it was really good to revamp the building. It is great to be reinvesting in our home borough and keeping the business local.”
Enzo Cars and Vans had been based off Bolton Road for nearly two decades.
Bash said: “The new site is a lot bigger and will hold more than 200 vehicles both inside and outside the building.
“We sell a range of cars, vans, HGVs, recovery trucks and motorbikes. A lot of our customers are countrywide.”
Tuffnells, which delivered large and bulky goods to more than 4,000 businesses across the UK, including retailers Wickes and Evans Cycles, went into administration in June 2023.
It led to the majority of Tuffnells’ 2,200 employees, working across its 33 UK depots being made redundant. The company had operated in more than 160 destinations worldwide.
In October last year, DX Group reopened some Tuffnells depots after buying them from administrators for the rival delivery firm.
The Slough-based company struck a deal to rescue 15 Tuffnells Parcels Express sites and 250 staff in June, however, the Darwen site was not among those saved.
