An East Lancashire council has revealed full details of the Christmas lights switch ons across its towns and villages.
The Hyndburn borough festivities include a new event in Fern Gore.
All are free to attend, and everyone is welcome to join in.
The festivities kick off in Clayton-Le-Moors on Wednesday, November 27, followed by the big Accrington event organised by Amazing Accrington on Thursday, November 28, and then in Baxenden on Friday 29.
The following week will see light switch-on events in Huncoat, Milnshaw, Church, Oswaldtwistle, Great Harwood, and Rishton, ending with a new event in Fern Gore on Monday, December 9, and finally the Altham switch-on on Friday, December 13.
The full programme is:
- Accrington: Thursday, November 28, 4pm-8pm, in Broadway, Accrington;
- Altham: Friday, December 13, 6.30pm, Burnley Road, Worker’s Memorial;
- Baxenden: Friday, November 29, 6.15pm, junction of Southwood Drive and Manchester Road;
- Church: Tuesday, December 3: Blessing of the Crib 5.30pm Manor Gardens, Dill Hall Lane then Light Switch On 6pm, Bank Street Community Gardens.
- Clayton-le-Moors: Wednesday, November 27 6pm, Barnes Square;
- Fern Gore: Monday, December 9 6pm, junction of Rimmington Avenue and Fern Gore Avenue;
- Great Harwood: Friday, December 6, 6pm, Towngate Square.
- Huncoat: Monday, December 2, 6pm, junction of Lowergate Road and Altham Lane;
- Milnshaw: Wednesday, December 4, 5:30pm, Dyke Nook Gardens;
- Oswaldtwistle: Thursday, December 5, 7pm, Jubilee Gardens; and
- Rishton: Sunda,y December 8, 4pm, High Street outside library.
The community events are organised by volunteers and local councillors, proudly supported by Hyndburn Council.
