A man was repeatedly caught driving his mobility vehicle while under the influence of a cocktail of drugs.
Blackburn Magistrates' Court heard Faisel Saghir racked up five sets of offences in a little over a month while driving his Ford Focus.
Saghir, 47, of Regent Street, Nelson, pleaded guilty to a raft of offences when appearing in court, namely:
- being in charge of a car while under the influence of cocaine, diazepam and amphetamine on April 19;
- being in charge of a motor vehicle while under the influence of amphetamine and benzoylecgonine, the derivative of cocaine, on May 10;
- driving a vehicle in Cliffe Street, Nelson, on April 4 while under the influence of cocaine, benzoylecgonine and amphetamine
- driving while under the influence of drugs on April 6;
- and driving while under the influence of amphetamine, diazepam and benzoylecgonine on May 24.
He was bailed for a pre-sentence report to be prepared and will be sentenced at a future hearing.
