The Environment Agency (EA) said it is investigating reports of a collapsed wall along a river in Whitworth.
The EA said it is currently on Daniel Street to assess the damage, after reports of a collapsed retaining wall along the River Spodden.
The EA said this could potentially cause additional flood risks.
An EA spokesperson said: “We are currently on-site at Daniel Street, Whitworth, to assess the situation as we believe there has been a collapse of a retaining wall along the River Spodden potentially causing additional flood risks.”

Storm Bert brought heavy rain and snow to Lancashire on Saturday (November 23) causing travel chaos and flooding. There are still some flood alerts and warnings in place across Lancashire today.
Rossendale, in particular, was heavily affected by the weather. The River Irwell burst its banks on Saturday.
Many businesses became flooded in Bacup, Ramsbottom and beyond forcing their closure.
Blackburn Rovers and Accrington Stanley both had to postpone fixtures.
