A road in Haslingden is blocked “due to falling snow”, police have said.
The conditions on Grane Road are said to be poor due to adverse weather this morning (November 23).
Officers have urged drivers to find an alternative driving route.
A police spokesperson said: “We have received reports that the Grane Road conditions are poor due to the falling snow. As a result the road is blocked. Please find an alternative route.”
This warning comes as Storm Bert batters the country. A yellow weather warning for snow and rain is in force across East Lancashire until 9am on Sunday.
50-75mm of rain is expected to fall across the UK.
Jason Kelly, a Met Office chief meteorologist said: “Heavy rainfall will affect much of the UK this weekend. Rain is expected to develop during Saturday morning across southwest and southern England, becoming particularly heavy and persistent overnight and into Sunday.
“Accumulations of 50-75 mm are expected to fall fairly widely during this time. There is a chance that some places over Dartmoor for example, could see 100-150 mm. In addition, rapid melting of lying snow over the weekend may bring flooding for some.”
