Police helicopters could be seen over Accrington today after a vehicle failed to stop and was pursued by officers.
At around 10.45am, officers attempted to stop the vehicle in Belfield Road, Accrington, but it sped off.
The car eventually was stopped and has been seized by police.
One resident on Facebook said: "We were driving down Blackburn Road about 10.45am and a black car was speeding past and the police were on the chase with lights and sirens on.
"The driver is either going to kill himself or some poor member of the public the way he was driving.
"How he never wrapped into a car coming through traffic lights is a miracle."
Police have said enquiries are ongoing to locate those from the vehicle and anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting log 0321 of November 22.
Yesterday police were involved in another high-speed pursuit in Rishton, with enquiries also continuing to locate the individuals involved.
