A man will stand trial after denying offences of possessing a firearm and wounding with intent.

Ryan Staveley, 31, appeared at Preston Crown Court on Friday, November 22, charged with those offences as well as an offence of criminal damage.

Staveley, of Gledstone View, Barnoldswick, is alleged to have committed the offences in Clitheroe in December 2022.

He entered not guilty pleas to all three offences which led to a trial being set for January 19, 2026.

The trial is expected to last between three and four days.

Staveley's next court appearance will be on November 28, 2025, for a pre-trial review.

He was granted unconditional bail.
