A Hyndburn businesswoman has won a national award.
Amanda Alcock, who lives in Great Harwood, won in the Best New Business category at the third annual Female Business Awards.
She launched her online shop, Randompanda.co.uk, last year and provides a gift service for network marketers and business owners.
The 39-year-old creates motivational letterbox gifts to help clients save time when it comes to recognising and celebrating team members and customers.
With over a decade of experience in network marketing, she shifted her focus entirely to Random Panda in January.
The awards, held in Manchester, received more than 600 nominations across 15 categories.
The judges praised Amanda for her clear focus on her ideal client, effective messaging, and resilience during a major change this year.
Amanda, who lives with her husband Adam and their daughter Emily, aged four, said: "I am delighted to receive this award.
"I’ve worked hard to get the business off the ground this year.
"Getting seen without a huge advertising budget isn’t easy, so to be recognised in this way is amazing.
"I absolutely love what I do, my clients are very happy with the service I provide, and the small gifts are making a big impact.
"To receive a thoughtful gift in the post to remind people how amazing they are can completely change that person’s day.
"Life can be difficult, so it’s wonderful to make people smile.
"The world needs more of that."
The Female Business Awards, now in its third year, recognises the successes and achievements of female-led small businesses across the UK.
The judging panel evaluates nominees on various factors, including marketing, social media presence, client feedback, and passion.
Janine Friston, Female Business Awards co-host, said: "We are thrilled to confirm this year's award finalists and winners, who have clearly made a positive difference and impact to their clients and audience.
“Our vision with the Female Business Awards is to recognise and celebrate those female-led small businesses who are often forgotten about in other awards.
"Female business owners often set up and run their businesses around other responsibilities, such as younger children, and so desire and need the flexibility that running their own business can provide.
“Being able to showcase some of these amazing business owners is fantastic.”
