A legal assistant from Barrowford is jogging 60 miles across November to raise awareness of epilepsy.
Amelia Ripley, aged 28, suffered a seizure at her desk in June and was diagnosed with epilepsy in September.
She had no prior history of the condition and was unaware of its symptoms.
Amelia, who works for James Hall & Co Ltd in Preston, is now on medication and adjusting to her new lifestyle.
She is participating in Epilepsy Action's challenge to jog 60 miles in November to raise awareness of the condition.
Amelia said: "Epilepsy is a common condition that affects around one in 100 people in the UK and can develop at any time in your life.
"Yet from my experience, there seems to be a chronic lack of understanding of it and how it develops due to severe underfunding for research into it.
"I knew very little about it and what I did know was that I associated it with diagnosis during childhood."
The diagnosis has significantly impacted her life, making her sensitive to light and causing tremors.
She said: "Previously I lived life to the full...the hardest thing has been finding the new me.
"But I have had an epiphany moment where I wanted to do something good.
"That is why I am absolutely committed to doing the 60 miles in November for Epilepsy Action as I feel like I need to raise awareness of epilepsy."
