Two Blackpool eateries, White Tower and Boulevard, have been recognised as among the best in Lancashire.

The establishments, located near Pleasure Beach, were named in OpenTable's top 10 based on millions of diner reviews.

White Tower opened in 1979 and has served famous faces such as Margaret Thatcher and Robbie Williams.

It is celebrated for its 'traditional dining setting' and 'coastal views.'

White Tower's general manager, Barry Tiplady, said: "White Tower has been a staple for many over the past 45 years.

"Our guests come to us for our delicious menus, a traditional dining setting, and unbeatable views of the coast.

"We feel really proud and pleased that our dedication and passion is reflected in the reviews of our guests."

Its restaurant, Beachside, offers 'locally sourced food' and 'views of the coastline and Illuminations.'

Philip Gahrmann, food and beverage manager at Boulevard, said: "Not many people know that our restaurant is open to the public and not just guests of the hotel.

"We’re a hidden gem in that sense; delicious locally sourced food, a luxurious restaurant and fantastic views of the coastline and Illuminations.

"We’re really pleased we have been named with the best for Lancashire, and we can’t wait to welcome even more locals, travellers, and foodies through our doors."

Both establishments are preparing for the festive season with special dining options.

The White Tower will be serving festive lunches from Wednesdays to Sundays throughout December, prepared by chef Anthony Malone.

The Boulevard will offer a three-course Christmas Day lunch, with the option of an overnight stay.

OpenTable, a restaurant search engine, analyses millions of global diner reviews each month to compile their top ten lists.

The White Tower and Beachside at Boulevard were rated alongside other county favourites such as the Grand Hotel in St Annes and Eight at Gazegill By Doug Crampton near Skipton.

Both establishments have been praised for their 'dedication and passion', as reflected in customer reviews.
