A man has been hospitalised after a fire broke out at a house in Blackburn in the early hours of this morning, November 19.
Three fire engines attended the scene in Swan Street at 2.30am with one casualty rescued by the fire service before being transferred to hospital by ambulance.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Crews used four breathing apparatus, two hose reels, one thermal imaging camera and a gas monitor to extinguish the fire.
Fire services are no longer at the premises.
A spokesperson for Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service said: “At 2.30am, three fire engines from Blackburn and Darwen attended a fire involving a terraced property on Swan Street, Blackburn.
“Firefighters used four breathing apparatus, two hose reels, one thermal imaging camera, and a gas monitor to extinguish the fire.
“One casualty was rescued by the firefighters before they were transferred to hospital by ambulance.
“The cause of the fire is under investigation.”
