Married at First Sight’s current UK series is almost at an end but last night’s episode (November 12) wasn’t without the drama.

Viewers saw the couples’ vow renewals with some deciding to continue their marriages but Blackburn’s Amy Kenyon decided to part ways with her husband Luke Debono.

The show sees strangers meet for the first time and get married without knowing their new partners.

In last night’s episode, Amy showed up in an all-black outfit, despite the general consensus being for the women to wear wide wedding-style dresses.

Why did Amy wear black to her vow renewal on MAFS?

Despite her partner Luke being up for continuing their relationship and telling her she looked “stunning” as she met him outside in the episode, Amy later said she wore black to “mourn” their “dead” marriage.

She said: “I don't believe a word that leaves your mouth. I know my worth and you aren't worthy of me. This marriage is done, dead, deceased. I stand here in front of you today wearing black to mourn its death. RIP”, reports The Sun.

Viewers react to Amy’s ‘brutal’ vow renewal

Viewers were left shocked and the “brutal” vows Amy delivered to Luke with one sharing to X (formerly known as Twitter): “The way Amy spoke down to Luke at the vow renewal was cold, brutal and disrespectful - Absolutely unnecessary #mafsuk #mafs”.

Another fan of the show was disappointed with the way Amy handled things, also taking to X to share their frustrations: “Amy doing this massive performance over whether to wear a white or black dress to the renewal to me shows who the real problem in this relationship is.

"The ridiculous over the top harsh vows she just gave to Luke were just nasty and she was relishing in it… #mafsuk”.
