An East Lancashire neighbourhood got an early Christmas present, as neighbours bagged a People’s Postcode Lottery prize.
Residents with a specific postcode in Oswaldtwistle – and a ticket subscription – have all won £1,000 in the daily prize draw.
One of Wednesday's 20 winning postcodes is BB5 4QS which belongs to postcode lottery players in Brecon Avenue.
A spokesperson said: “Hopefully the fates were kind this World Kindness Day and delivered £1,000 to your postcode.”
Players can sign up with any eligible postcode and pay £12 per month to take part.
Subscriptions support a range of charities across the UK, with a minimum of 33 per cent of tickets going to charity.
The company manages lotteries for 20 charities, with each one having one draw month.
Gathering huge support nationally they support “a wide range of charities and good causes across Britain and around the world".
To date, they’ve provided more than £1.1billion in funding which is helping thousands of organisations and projects.
