Four lucky Lancashire residents picked up a £100,000 win in the November Premium Bonds prize draw, with more than £1 million handed out county-wide.

Three people won £50,000, seven people won £25,000 and 21 people won £10,000 – with £1,120,000 of high-value prizes handed out to a total of 72 people in the county.

Of the winners, the average holding amount was only £40,898 and one lucky account holder had £9,500 in their account but still collected £50,000.

National Savings and Investment (NS&I) announced the winners for November 2024, with national figures totalling more than £46m.

Prize draws with premium bonds are conducted every month and see prizes up to £1m given away.

While only two winners took home the £1m jackpot, plenty of other prizes were available, and this month 89 winners picked up £100,000, as well as 177 collecting £50,000, a further 356 secured £25,000 and 887 received £10,000.

Online bingo review website Casino Alpha conducted the research.

A spokesperson from Casino Alpha said: “The allure of Premium Bonds lies in their ability to transform saving into a game of chance.

“While your initial investment is safe, each month brings the anticipation of cash prizes, creating the perfect balance that keeps savers coming back for more.

“Ultimately, Premium Bonds represent a practical and secure savings option.

"They encourage financial responsibility with the added benefit of a chance to enjoy unexpected rewards.”

This month the luckiest region was Cornwall, whose winners received £1,690,000 with only £1,622,052 in holdings – meaning £1,041 for every £1,000 held.

To find out if you are one of this month’s winners you need to access the prize checker with the holder’s number, which you can find on your bond record or in the app.

Bondholders can also use their NS&I number which should be visible on any communication about your bonds.
