Blackburn Rovers are searching for runners to join the ‘Rovers Runners’ ahead of the Blackburn 10k.
This year’s run will be the fifth time Blackburn Rovers Community Trust has hosted the event alongside race provider Run Through.
The Blackburn 10k takes runners past a number of iconic landmarks including Wainwright Bridge, Blackburn Cathedral and King George’s Hall.
Ahead of the race, on Sunday 8 December, the trust is on the lookout for 30 runners to join this year’s running group, Rovers Runners.
Last year, saw the Rovers Runners group race for the first time and raise more than £1,200 for the Community Wellbeing Hub at Ewood Park.
Events and Partnership Manager at Blackburn Rovers Community Trust, Ryan Loftus said: “We are delighted to once again be offering supporters the chance to represent the club as a Rovers Runner at this year’s Blackburn 10k.
“Following the success of last year, the exclusive group will be running to raise vital funds for our upcoming Cancer Prehab Programme as we continue to expand our health and wellbeing offer.
“Rovers Runners is for all abilities, and we look forward to them joining our team."
Participants will get free race entry, a Rovers Runner branded vest, a race medal and a tour of Ewood Park. The stadium tour is subject to a minimum £100 threshold being raised.
