A clinic which offers a "one-stop shop" for services is celebrating 20 years in business.
Blemish Clinic on Market Street in Edenfield provides private dermatology, aesthetics and medical services.
Managing director Jan Birch is renowned for her impressive career spanning more than 25 years.
The consultant nurse has a wealth of knowledge about the aesthetics and dermatology industries and has worked with TV show Embarrassing Bodies.
She was inspired to set up her own business after traveling to South Africa for a work project and seeing blended clinics offering patients multiple services.
Jan said: “I wanted to offer a one-stop shop for people in a trustworthy setting.
“We never offer fashion-led treatments but instead, we work with the person to create something which suits them as an individual.”
Using her clinical research background, having written and worked with dermatology experts on groundbreaking clinical papers, she initially set up in Middleton in 2004 before moving to Edenfield 10 years ago.
She added: “When we started looking at our patient radius and where they were coming from, Edenfield seemed like the ideal location.
“A friend of mine spotted this building, we came for a look around and the rest is history.”
Using leading technology, Blemish offers menopause services, private GP appointments, non-invasive cosmetic treatments, skin cancer screening, laser hair removal, migraine treatments, and more.
Jan, who is also a fully qualified trainer and assessor, added: “We have people traveling from Lincoln, from all over the place.
“I especially want to get rid of a lot of the taboos around women’s health and provide practical community support.”
Senior medical aesthetician, Katie Greenwood, has been working at Blemish for more than four years.
She has spent that time learning from the team around her, including Jan, and “getting to understand how it all works".
She said: “As part of a multidisciplinary team, we can offer superior support. We help each other and use our network to get right to the core of what our patients need.”
The fully licensed clinic has a Care Quality Commission rating of "good" and is open to new patients.
