A woman who while negotiating a McDonald's drive-through clipped a kerb and then knocked her own wing mirror off by travelling too close to the building turned out to be drunk.
Blackburn Magistrates' Court heard that unfortunately for Cortny Pye there was a police car behind her and when officers pulled her over she failed a breathalyser test.
Pye, 20, of Metcalfe Close, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to driving with excess alcohol.
She was fined £120 with £85 costs and a £48 victim surcharge and banned from driving for 18 months.
When she was stopped in her Mini Cooper on August 30 she gave a breathalyser reading of 61 micrograms of alcohol per 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35mcg.
Courtney Thompson, prosecuting, said the officers had been following Pye through the McDonald's drive-thru in Burnley Road, Blackburn, and were concerned about the standard of her driving.
Gareth Price, in mitigation, said Pye had been out with her boyfriend and was travelling home when she decided to call at McDonald's because she was hungry.
"She caught the attention of the police in the manner described," said Mr Price.
