Residents in Great Harwood spoke of their shock to find a massive fly tip, containing piles of domestic and industrial waste.
The site in Lewis Street discovered discarded furniture and broken appliances had been left to rot on the industrial estate.
Hyndburn Council has been inundated with reports in recent weeks, with incidents recorded in Rishton and Great Harwood.
The fly-tips continue to infuriate residents, who are continuing to work with the council to improve the back alleys in the town with plans to introduce some planters and paint the walls.
Despite receiving an additional £50,000 government grant for preventative measures and increased fines for fly-tippers, incidents in the area remain an ongoing problem.
Councillor Stewart Eaves, Portfolio Holder for Environmental Services said: "The council is aware of the fly-tipping incident in Lewis Street and is working to resolve the issue quickly and efficiently.
"Fly-tipping offences directly affect the quality of life of residents and visitors alike, and so the council is committed to enforcing the consequences of these actions in service of shaping a cleaner, healthier borough.
"The council can and will take action against those caught fly-tipping. Last month we issued 193 Section 46 Notices and 18 Fixed Penalty Notices.
"Our Waste Enforcement and Environmental Protection departments have teamed up to investigate the circumstances and removal of the waste will be scheduled."
This site was identified using the Clear Waste app, a software developed that automatically sends an update to the local authority when a fly tip is identified.
Jo Sherwood, an employee at Clear Waste said: “This report was submitted by one of our users. We automatically sent a notification to the local authority.
“This one was on an industrial scale and Hyndburn Council are now investigating.”
Residents are appealing to anyone with CCTV or cameras in the Halmenden View or Lewis Street areas to check if they saw anything suspicious, and report anything to the council.
The website reported that the incident occurred at around 2pm on Monday, November 4.
