Traffic is building in Preston after a crash.
Police are currently dealing with a crash on Ringway near to Preston Prison. As a result, police have had to close Ringway.
Traffic is being diverted via Ribbleton Lane.
Pictures have emerged of queuing traffic in the area.
A police spokesperson said: “We are currently dealing with a road traffic collision on Ringway near to Preston Prison. As a result we have had to close ringway.
“Traffic is being diverted at this time via Ribbleton Lane. At the moment it is very busy if you can change your route please do. We will provide an update when we can.”
