Hundreds of families enjoyed a spectacular firework display at one of Blackburn’s biggest bonfire night events.
Blackburn's Royal British Legion hosted the display at the home of East Lancashire Cricket Club, off Dukes Brow, on Saturday.
Volunteers from the Royal British Legion were on hand to assist throughout the night collecting the entrance fees and marshalling the crowds.
The family-friendly evening included fairground rides, food and a bar with money raised helping to support the Royal British Legion, the Fire Fighters Charity and the Poppy Appeal.
Tickets were priced at £5 on the door and £3.50 if bought online.
Among the guests was Mayor of Blackburn with Darwen Councillor Brian Taylor.
A crew from Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service was also in attendance allowing children to try out a working fire hose.
Shabaz, from Blackburn, was joined by his two children. He said: “It was a lot better this year because of the weather.
“There are some long queues for the food but that happens all the time with these type of events. The kids loved the fireworks.”
Ellie, also from Blackburn, said: “I would like to thank everyone who put on the event. The volunteers have been really great and helpful.”
A Royal British Legion spokesperson said: “Thank you to everyone that came to our annual Blackburn Family Fireworks and Bonfire evening
“We do hope you had a great evening, and thank you for supporting the Royal British Legion's Poppy Appeal.
“A huge thank you to all the volunteers that helped out and made the night a huge success.”
Elsewhere across the county, a charity bonfire and fireworks display took place at Clitheroe Castle.
Clitheroe Cricket Club held a bonfire and fireworks display with all funds going to support the club.
Haslingden Cricket Club also hosted its annual bonfire and fireworks display on Saturday with children’s rides and food served from the club kitchen and food stalls.
The popular event was sold out ahead of the display.
