Volunteers from Blackburn have donated cakes and biscuits to their local hospital.
The Alliances of Hope NGOs UK presented the gifts to elderly patients, children and staff at East Lancashire Health Trust at Royal Blackburn Hospital.
The donation included an assortment of fresh products, provided by Yorkshire-based Regal Bakery and Tayyabah Bakery, which is located at Higher Eanam.
Lead volunteers coordinator at East Lancashire Health Trust, Denise Gee said: “We are truly touched by this caring gesture."
Goodwill Ambassador of Alliances of Hope NGOs UK, Hussein Kajee said: “Our team has been engaged in volunteer service for a long time, motivated by a deep sense of compassion and care for those in need.”
Coordinator for Alliances of Hope NGOs UK, Imtiaz Patel added: “We have a collective responsibility to care for all members of our society, fostering an environment of kindness, happiness, and peace.”
The initiative reflects the unwavering commitment of the Alliances of Hope NGOs UK and its partners to support and uplift vulnerable members of the community.
