East Lancashire was left terrified last night as troves of ghouls and zombies filled the streets as Halloween celebrations got underway.
By now your house is probably filled with trick-or-treat sweets and people in Lancashire were creative with their costumes this year.
We asked Lancashire Telegraph readers to send us pictures of their children dressed in their scariest and most adorable Halloween outfits.
Receiving hundreds of messages and photos of children in costume we saw outfits ranging from Wednesday Addams to dinosaurs.
As children were ready to go and collect their trick-or-treat sweets, residents also witnessed superheroes, pirates, aliens and witches.
Some parents even got involved in the action with one mum dressing up as Beetlejuice, which was released last month.
Families also went all out on their house decorations this year including a mum in Burnley transforming her home into the ‘dead and breakfast inn’, with hundreds of spiders taking residence.
Another family in Baxenden continued their annual celebrations with a horror movie-themed evening, with a jam-packed display featuring a smoke machine, flashing lights, figures of iconic movie characters and Halloween music.
Town centres were also decorated with spooky displays, with Blackpool having inflatable monsters littered throughout the town centre.
