Planned engineering works will be taking place on the railway across East Lancashire this weekend.
The works will be between Preston/Blackburn/Todmorden and Burnley Manchester Road, starting from 12.55am on Saturday, November 2, to 5.35am on Monday, November 4.
All lines will be blocked during the work. Services will be replaced by buses between Burnley Manchester Road and Preston.
Trains between York/Leeds and Blackpool North will instead terminate and start at Burnley, with buses operating between Burnley and Preston before train services resume there towards Blackpool.
Services between Manchester Victoria and Blackburn will instead start and terminate at Todmorden.
Passengers wishing to travel between Todmorden and stations to Blackburn in both directions should travel via Hebden Bridge or use local bus services.
Northern has also warned that journey times will be extended by approximately 45 minutes during the engineering works.
A spokesperson said: "Please allow extra time for your journey.
"Please check station information posters or online for the location of the bus pick-up points.
"For customers requiring mobility travel assistance please call us on 0800 138 5560 (Text Relay 18001 0800 138 5560)."
