We know that many Looking Back regulars love a good tram photo.
This one shows a Darwen Corporation tram in the Boulevard in Blackburn taken some time in the 1940s.
Look closely to the left of the tram and you can see a half completed arch belonging to Blackburn Cathedral.
A major fundraising campaign had been held in the 1930s to enlarge the cathedral and work started in 1938 only to be halted due to the war and it would not be restarted until the 1950s.
