With Bonfire Night almost upon us, you may be wondering what the weather has in store for East Lancashire.
Whether you’re off to see a display or hosting your own, here is the Met Office weather forecast for East Lancashire this weekend.
Those heading out to displays may be pleasantly surprised as the meteorologists are predicting warm dry weather across the UK this weekend, as bonfire night promises to not be a washout.
Southern parts of the country are expected to break the 15 degree mark and there is no indication of any rainfall across the weekend.
It is not expected to get quite that warm in East Lancashire but those attending fireworks displays this weekend won’t be needing the thermals just yet.
And a thick layer of black cloud will be cast over the skies, setting an eerie tone for this year’s Halloween festivities, which are due to get under way on Thursday night.
Over the past two years, Blackburn's firework events have been disrupted by cold and wet evenings, but this year promises to remain dry, with temperatures remaining consistently around the 13 degree mark.
Thursday is predicted to be the warmest day of the week, potentially reaching 14 degrees in Blackburn and reaching lows of 9.
Displays are taking place across the county over the weekend with events in Gisburn, Chipping, Clitheroe Castle, Towneley Park, Langho and Accrington Stanley.

Today (Wednesday, October 30) - Mainly dry on Wednesday with variable amounts of cloud and sunny intervals in places. Temperatures similar to previous days with light winds. Maximum temperature 15 °C.
Thursday, October 31 – Staying largely dry throughout as high pressure dominates. Though often cloudy with some bright or sunny spells at times. Fog is possible overnight. Maximum temperature 13 degrees.
Friday, November 1 – Overcast. Highs of 15 degrees, lows of 4.
Saturday, November 2 – Overcast. Highs of 16, lows of 0.
Sunday, November 3 – Overcast. Highs of 13, lows of 1.
