A man will face a trial next year after he allegedly stabbed a dog in Blackburn.
Billy Wilkinson, 35, entered not guilty pleas to causing unnecessary suffering to an animal as well as two counts of threatening to destroy/damage property and one count of criminal damage at Preston Crown Court on Monday (October 28).
Wilkinson, of Haggs Hall Fields, Ramsgreave, is alleged to have committed the offences in August 2022 in Blackburn.
The alleged offences of threatening to destroy property are said to be Wilkinson threatening to burn down a house and also threatening to stab a dog.
Wilkinson will appear in court on September 22 for a pre-trial review ahead of a trial scheduled for November 17.
He was granted unconditional bail until the next hearing.
