Crashes in two areas of East Lancashire led to long delays for commuters this morning (October 29).
Reports came in at around 7.15am of yet another crash on the M65, this time on the westbound carriageway between J3 (Blackburn West/Wheelton) and J2 (M61).
Lancashire Police confirmed this was a damage-only crash with no reports of any injuries.
However, with rush hour starting shortly after, traffic built up and there was congestion all the way back to junction 5 at Guide on the westbound side.

There were also reports of delays on the eastbound carriageway as people slowed down to observe the crash as they drove past.
Elsewhere, a separate crash on the A56 northbound near Huncoat also caused issues for those trying to get to work.
Police again confirmed this was damage-only with no injuries reported, though traffic was heavy heading from the Rising Bridge Roundabout towards the M65 at junction 8.
Both incidents now appear to have cleared with traffic levels returning to normal.
It was the second crash in as many days on the M65 after a horse was killed and four people were injured early on Monday morning near J9 (Burnley).
Lancashire Police said they were called just after 2.30am to reports of two horses being loose on the carriageway close to J9 (Rose Grove).
One of the horses was struck by two vehicles and was killed. The other horse was secured and safely taken off the motorway.
