A Blackburn charity is hosting free diabetes education courses for people across East Lancashire.
The IMO charity has teamed up with Empower and Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care Board to recruit people for the programme in Blackburn, Pendle and Rossendale.
It is designed to assist those who have been diagnosed with diabetes as well as individuals who are supporting loved ones dealing with the chronic condition.
Refreshments are provided during the sessions.
An IMO spokesperson said: “Attending a diabetes education course is a very important part of learning how to self-manage your diabetes and help avoid long-term serious health complications.
"This programme is open to anyone who has been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and you are welcome to bring a carer, family member or friend to support you. People that complete an Empower course reduce their blood sugar levels and improve their health.
“Our mission is to ensure that everyone has the information and resources they need to live a healthy life while managing diabetes.”
