Police were called to a concern for welfare at a railway station in Burnley this afternoon leading to the line being closed.
British Transport Police (BTP) received reports for a concern for welfare at Burnley Central shortly after 12.30pm.
The person was taken to a place of safety by officers.
Trains on the line between Burnley Barracks and Colne were held and either cancelled or delayed while the incident was dealt with.

The 12.24pm service from Preston to Colne terminated at Accrington, while the 12.50pm Colne to Preston service was delayed at Nelson before terminating at Blackburn.
Disruption is still expected until around 3pm though lines have now reopened.
A BTP spokesperson said: "We were called to Burnley station shortly after 12.30pm today (Monday) following reports of a concern for the welfare of a person.
"Officers attended and the person was taken to a place of safety."
They confirmed in another update after this that the call was related to an incident at Burnley Central.
