Ribble Valley council has issued a warning for motorists ahead of its annual Clitheroe bonfire and fireworks event.
There will be a series of road closures across the town on Saturday, November 2.
Eshton Terrace, between Franklin Street and West View, and Parson Lane, between Bawdlands and Station Road, will be closed from 8pm until 10.30pm.
The order applies to all traffic, including cyclists. No alternative routes will be made available.
Thousands of people are expected to descend on Clitheroe Castle field for the event.
Food and drink will be made available on the castle field from 5pm, alongside on-field entertainment and activities.
Music will be provided by Ribble FM and the bonfire will be lit just after 6pm. The firework display, set against Clitheroe Castle, will start around 7pm.
Tickets cost £5 for adults and £2 for children.
A spokesperson for the council said: “Motorists and residents are advised that there will be a series of road closures in Clitheroe during the town’s annual bonfire.
“The popular bonfire and fireworks display will take place at Clitheroe Castle on Saturday, November 2.
“The event is expected to attract thousands of bonfire enthusiasts to the Clitheroe Castle field.
“The following road closures will be in place from 8pm to 10.30pm to ensure people are able to exit the field after the event and disperse safely:
“Eshton Terrace, between Franklin Street and West View, and Parson Lane, between Bawdlands and Station Road.
“The order applies to all traffic and cyclists.
“There will be no alternative route during the traffic order. Access to properties in Eshton Terrace and Parson Lane, and side streets affected by the closures, will be maintained.”
