Discount retail store Poundland is closed today in Blackburn.
The store, located in The Mall in Church Street, has its shutters down.
A sign had been placed on the shutters explaining the store was closed for unplanned maintenance, leaving some shoppers disappointed.
It remains uncertain whether the shop will be open again tomorrow.
