A Blackburn man has been arrested on suspicion of robbery at a store on Tuesday, October 22.
Officers were called to a store on Mosley Street after a man had attempted to leave the shop with a variety of high value food items.
A 39-year-old man from Blackburn was arrested on suspicion of robbery and is currently in custody.
The arrest highlights the successes of Operation Vulture – Lancashire Constabulary’s response to shoplifting in the county and backed by Police and Crime Commissioner Clive Grunshaw and the Lancashire Partnership Against Crime.
Operation Vulture sees dedicated officers undertaking hotspot patrolling, increasing their visibility in targeted areas and creating strong partnership with retailers across the county.
They hope to better share intelligence and get a deeper understanding of retail crime and identify more offenders.
