A launch night has been pencilled in for Blackburn Musical Theatre's spring 2025 production of Beauty and the Beast.
People interested in taking part in the Broadway blockbuster are being invited to Blackburn Empire Theatre on Monday, November 4, from 7.30pm, to find out more.
An appeal has already been made by the group for a prospective wardrobe lead to make the cast look fabulous for the May performances.
Actors will be recreating the story of Belle, a young woman trapped in a provincial town, looking for more in life, and the Beast – a young man trapped under an enchantress’s spell, who must learn to love to break the curse or be doomed for all eternity.
Popular characters from the Disney animated classic will also feature, including the debonair Lumiere and stuffy Cogsworth, motherly Mrs Potts and her adorable child Chip.
A Blackburn Musical Theatre spokesman said of the launch night: "Our incredible production team will guide you through all you need to know about taking part in this Broadway blockbuster, including membership details, audition dates, their visions and expectations, and much more.
"You'll be able to ask any questions, and once that's all done, the bar will be open and you'll have a chance to chat to the team and meet our members, and find out why we're proudly regarded as one of the friendliest theatre groups around."
Meanwhile tickets have already gone on sale for the show, which takes places from May 3 to 10.
The 2025 production follows hot on the heels of their successful offering this year of Sunshine on Leith and 2023's Calamity Jane.

Theatre officials say anyone looking to book 10 or more tickets for family, friends or a community group can message them for early bird booking access and discounts via bmtcmusicals@outlook.com for details.
