A motorcyclist has died following a crash with a Land Rover in Lancashire.
The man, who has not been named by police but was 51 years old, was airlifted to hospital after the crash at around 1.20pm yesterday (October 21).
The crash, which happened on the A683 near the village of Burrow, was between the motorcyclist and a Land Rover Freelander.
Despite the efforts of paramedics, the man died in hospital earlier today (October 22).
Sgt Joe Ghigi of Lancashire Police, said: “First and foremost, my thoughts are with the man’s family and loved ones at this extremely sad and distressing time.
“As we investigate what happened, we want to appeal for witnesses or to anyone who was driving in the area and has dashcam footage from around the time of the collision.
“This is a rural area but there will have been vehicles using the road.”
Anyone with information which could help police should call 101, quoting log 0583 of October 21, 2024, or email SCIU@lancashire.police.uk
