A man charged with attempted murder will appear at the Crown Court next month to enter his plea.
Jordan O'Brien, 25, appeared at Blackburn Magistrates' Court yesterday, Monday (October 21).
O'Brien was charged following an alleged slashing incident in Darwen shortly before 3am on Sunday, October 20.
Police said officers were called to reports that a man had received a slash injury to his face.
A man in his 30s, the alleged victim, is currently in hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Following enquiries, O'Brien, of James Street, Darwen, was arrested and charged with attempted murder.
He has now had his case committed to Preston Crown Court where he will have a plea and trial preparation hearing on Monday, November 18.
Police are continuing to appeal for information regarding the incident and anyone who thinks they can assist the investigation is asked to call 101 quoting log number 171 of October 20.
