Burnley DJ Jordan North is set to appear in a festive Netflix film alongside a host of top British actors.
Jordan, 34, has been announced as a voice actor in Richard Curtis' children’s film, That Christmas.
He will appear alongside the likes of former Doctor Who star Jodie Whittaker and Succession's Brian Cox.
The Capital Breakfast host shared the announcement on his Instagram page. Jordan and fellow DJ and TV presenter Dermot O’Leary have cameo roles in the movie, playing the roles of Mr Hack and Mr Chop.
The pair are said to run a Christmas tree stall in winter, trim your hedges in the summer and “spend a little too much time in the pub in spring and autumn”.
A spokesperson for Netflix said: “Guess who’s hosting this Christmas?!
"Dermot O’Leary and Jordan North will appear in cameo roles as Mr Chop and Mr Hack in Richard Curtis’ upcoming animated movie, That Christmas.”
The Christmas film is inspired by a trilogy of children’s books written by Richard Curtis, known for hit films Love Actually and Four Weddings and a Funeral.
According to the Netflix description, the film follows a series of entwined tales about family and friends, love and loneliness, and Santa Claus making a big mistake, not to mention an enormous number of turkeys.
This heartwarming comedy from Locksmith Animation marks Curtis’ first foray into animation, serving as the film’s writer and executive producer, and also the feature directorial debut of renowned animation veteran Simon Otto (Love, Death & Robots, How to Train Your Dragon films).
Nicole P. Hearon (Moana, Frozen) and Adam Tandy (The Thick of It, Detectorists) are producers.
Top-rated actors have also been announced in the cast list, including Bill Nighy, Brian Cox, Jodie Whittaker and Man Like Mobeen's Guz Khan.
Jordan, co-host of the podcast Help, I Sexted My Boss, recently won a major industry award.
The Clarets fan, and etiquette expert William Hanson, won the listener’s choice award at the British Podcast Awards.
In the hit podcast, Jordan and William help their listeners navigate the challenges of modern life.
They answer 21st-century questions and find solutions to everyday dilemmas.
That Christmas premiered at a film festival on October 19 but will be available on Netflix, on December 4.
