A bike has been seized after being ridden in an “anti-social manner” in Darwen.

Police discovered the bike was being ridden in an anti-social manner in the Sunnyhurst area.

Officers say the incident involved two riders who were not wearing helmets and did not have lights on their bike. A balaclava was also found. The bike was seized.

A police spokesperson said: “Following an e-scooter seizure earlier in the week, whilst on patrol this evening we came across a bike being ridden in an anti-social manner in the Sunnyhurst area.

“We are aware of a number of incidents surrounding bikes and scooters and are doing all we can to tackle antisocial riding. We will not tolerate this behaviour on our roads and all riders will be dealt with robustly.

“On this occasion, two riders, one man bag, one balaclava, no helmets or lights mean a bike and property was seized.”
