A large police presence was seen on Roman Road, Blackburn after a car was reported to be driving erratically.
It was safely stopped by officers who attended the scene at around 4pm this afternoon.
The driver, in a red Range Rover, was believed to have suffered a medical episode but has returned to good health since.
Traffic disruption was caused by the incident but there were no major delays.
A statement from Lancashire Police said: “The Roman Road incident is a car reported to being driven erratically.
“Car stopped safely, and it is believed the driver had a medical episode.”
