The new Darwen facility marks an expansion for the company, representing a 'major upgrade' from its former Clitheroe site.

It will enable the company to increase production, improve lead times and create new jobs within the region.

Ben Ayrton, managing director and vice-president of operations supply chain - Europe, said: "This isn’t just a new building for us, it’s a stepping stone for our future growth.

"It allows us to expand capacity, streamline operations and provide even better service to our customers."

The Darwen site will produce equipment across its four major brands: Spiroflow, Cablevey, Marion and Kason.

The new facility includes increased storage, dedicated build bays and a 10,000 sq ft testing area where customers can see the company’s machinery in action.

Beyond manufacturing, the facility also offers modern amenities for employees, including breakout areas and meeting rooms.

The site has been designed with sustainability in mind, featuring energy-efficient LED lighting and a recycling programme which is in line with the company’s environmental goals.

The facility is located near major transport links, including the M65 and nearby airports, making it ideally positioned to support the firm’s distribution network and reach across the UK, Europe, Africa and Asia.

The official opening event saw more than 100 guests tour the facility and meet management and staff.

Mr Ayrton said: "We’re proud to be part of Darwen’s business community and excited about the future.

"This new facility represents our dedication to quality, innovation and growth."
