A first-time visitor to Blackpool Casino has won big, scooping a £36,000 jackpot on a game of poker.
Employees heard screams of joy ring around Grosvenor Casino as a mystery woman hit on a Three Card Poker table on Saturday night, October 12.
Three Card Poker is a variant of poker in which players aim to create the best three-card hand possible from the three cards they are dealt.
Speaking about her win, the jackpot winner said: “I’m absolutely over the moon. As a first-time visitor to the venue, I never expected to win. The atmosphere and guests made the surprise even more enjoyable, and I still can’t believe it happened to me!”
Crowds flocked in to see the moment and congratulate the lucky woman on her win.
Everyone at the casino enjoyed the celebration and Grosvenor said that Champagne was flowing for much of the night afterwards.
Nik MacFadden, general manager at Grosvenor Casino Blackpool said: “We could feel the energy shift the moment the jackpot was hit. The atmosphere was electric, and you could hear the winner's scream of joy from every corner of the Casino.
“It was an unforgettable night for everyone present. We are thrilled to have hosted such an incredible night and it's moments like these that make Grosvenor Casino a place of wonderful experiences.”
As part of the Envy Prize for the major jackpot winner, the four other players at the table also received £500 each.
In Grosvenor Casino’s Three Card Poker Progressive, the Envy Bonus is a payout awarded to players who have an active progressive side bet when another player at the table hits a qualifying hand.
This bonus happened to make everyone playing at the table a winner.
Located in South Promenade Grosvenor offers players gaming as well as live entertainment with state-of-the-art casino games with all the classics, as well as an on-site bar and restaurant.
