A mosque is opening its doors to the wider community as part of a Community Engagement Day.

The Darussalam Education Centre, on Whalley New Road will be hosting the event on Monday 21 October from 10am until 1pm.

A mosque spokesperson said: “This is a wonderful opportunity for our community’s to come together, have some food, enjoy a brew, take a tour, and learn about each other’s cultures and beliefs.

“There will be a variety of activities including free health checks, henna artist, samosa making and more.

“This event is open to everyone, regardless of your faith and beliefs.

“Let’s come together to meet new people, celebrate our diversity, enhance understanding, and help bridge gaps between communities.

“Come along with your friends and family and be a part of this enriching experience.”
