A crash near the M65 junction eight is causing tailbacks amid today's rain causing treacherous driving conditions.
There are tailbacks of nearly 700 metres on the A6068 travelling south towards the motorway, outside Shuttleworth Cottage in Hapton.
This comes as parts of East Lancashire have been issued a yellow weather warning until 9pm tonight.

The slip road leaving the M65 at the junction also appears to be congested.
Lancashire Police say there are no injuries and the crash caused damage to cars only - although they are unable to provide further comment.
The Lancashire Telegraph understands the road remains open.
