International packaging specialists Solidus have expanded their Yorkshire production site with the help of a Burnley company.

Solidus sought the expertise of Quest Electrical to overcome challenges with their power supply.

Quest Electrical, an electrical wholesaler and NICEIC-approved contractor based in Burnley, was tasked with the mains upgrade.

They also provided a complete suite of high-quality cables, cabinets, and section boards.

The three-month project, costing £260,000, allowed the Skipton factory to increase productivity without affecting ongoing operations.

Quest installed thermosetting cables, distribution equipment, earths, and isolators to enable safe mains power branching to new locations.

This installation allowed Solidus to utilise a new production area within the factory with sufficient power requirements.

Dominic Miller, technical director at Quest Electrical, said: "As a specialist contractor we can offer the most efficient and safe service available, but we also source the very highest quality of products to give our customers that extra level of reassurance.

"We were pleased to help Solidus with their mains supply issues and hope the new expansion helps them to become even more competitive."

Quest Electrical was founded more than 30 years ago and employs more than 60 staff.

The company, which has an e-shop for electrical components, distributes products worldwide and works with 'blue-chip' customers such as Boohoo, Milliken, GXO, Kingspan, Arla Foods, Swizzles, and Hovis.
