If you are planning a wedding, here are some of the best East Lancashire firms in the business according to an upcoming awards event.

The 20 businesses are finalists in the North West regional section of the Wedding Industry Awards.

The awards recognise the best of the best, and with a flourishing wedding industry in East Lancashire, it's no surprise several have made the shortlist for the annual prize-giving.

The Wedding Industry Awards has chosen from dozens of nominations to whittle down the best the region has to offer, and the winners will be revealed at a glitzy ceremony next month.

Ranging from photography to caterers, dress-fitters and even magicians, the awards recognise those who go the extra mile to give newlyweds their perfect day.

Damian Bailey, founder of the Wedding Industry Awards, said: “Since 2011 The Wedding Industry Awards has been dedicated to recognising and rewarding excellence in the wedding industry and this year’s Regional Finalists are clearly at the top of their game.

“Our awards are unique as they are voted by recent wedding couples and it’s not the total number of votes that companies receive that leads to success.

“Instead, we focus on the quality of the feedback they get from eligible couples, amongst other things. Larger companies and talented individuals compete on a level playing field and the best wedding suppliers always rise to the top.”

The regional winners will be announced at a ceremony in November, with the winners going on to represent the North West at a national finals.
